Did the first panel last night, turned out OK but I’m thinking a bit more tooling is in order.
I may re-do this panel when I’ve had more practice, there are a few things I’m not 100% happy with and as this is the drivers side I’m more likely to notice the flaws. That of course assumes I leave it as bare alloy. I’m rather tempted to cover it but have yet to find the covering I’d like. If I cover it then I’ll leave it as is.

Well on Monday I got a delivery, to say I was excited was an understatement!
We moved it into the garage where it will live.
I was amazed at how relatively light the chassis was (carried in by two people) and how heavy the fibreglass was! Once in I had to have a sit and then put all the panels on for some pictures before packing all the bits away where they would live until needed.
Well a few delays but currently due to be delivered next week. I’ve been emailed a few pictures so here we go:

Well after far too many years of wanting one, thinking about one and researching them my plans for a GT40 are about to start for real.
Tragically the real cars are firmly out of reach so the only way I’m going to get one is a kit car.
So some time ago (it feels like an age) I ordered and put a deposit down on a GTs40 kit from GT Forte/GTS Tuning and delivery is now due in two weeks time. 🙂
