Bit happier with this second one. Although it has been suggested that I use an angle grinder with a thin cutting disc. I’m limited to the times I can do this however so this one has also been done by hand.

I’m pretty much decided that I’m going to carpet the interior.

Did the first panel last night, turned out OK but I’m thinking a bit more tooling is in order.

I may re-do this panel when I’ve had more practice, there are a few things I’m not 100% happy with and as this is the drivers side I’m more likely to notice the flaws. That of course assumes I leave it as bare alloy. I’m rather tempted to cover it but have yet to find the covering I’d like. If I cover it then I’ll leave it as is.

Well on Monday I got a delivery, to say I was excited was an understatement! We moved it into the garage where it will live.

I was amazed at how relatively light the chassis was (carried in by two people) and how heavy the fibreglass was! Once in I had to have a sit and then put all the panels on for some pictures before packing all the bits away where they would live until needed.
